The results of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s government’s continuous efforts are now clearly visible. The renewed recognition of both tourism and pilgrimage in Uttarakhand is boosting the state’s economy. Over 230 million tourists have visited Uttarakhand in the past three years, directly impacting the livelihoods of millions of people.

Uttarakhand Becomes a Hub for Adventure Tourism
According to Tourism Department data, tourists are no longer limited to Mussoorie, Nainital, or Haridwar; they are also reaching remote villages and new tourist destinations. The growing interest of domestic and international tourists in adventure activities like rafting, trekking, bungee jumping, and mountaineering has made Uttarakhand a hub for adventure tourism.

Over 6,000 Homestay Operators Benefit
More than 6,000 homestay operators in Uttarakhand are currently benefiting directly from tourism. Hotels, dhabas, restaurants, transportation businesses, and women’s self-help groups have also benefited. Pilgrimage has also seen a record number of pilgrims this year.

Government promoting winter travel
Nearly 5 million pilgrims have visited the Char Dham Yatra so far. More than 4,300 horse and mule operators are engaged in serving pilgrims on the Kedarnath and Yamunotri trekking routes. The government is now also promoting winter travel to ensure year-round tourism.
