The incident occurred late Friday evening. It is reported that some people attacked BSP leader Yogesh Pramukh with sticks due to an old rivalry. Yogesh was seriously injured in the attack and was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Video of the assault is going viral on social media
A video of the incident is also going viral on social media, clearly showing the accused attacking Yogesh Pramukh with a deadly weapon. Considering the seriousness of the matter, police registered a case and began searching for the accused. On Monday, police arrested two accused.

The accused have been identified as Sumit, son of Pappu, and Rajan, son of Pappu. Both accused are said to be residents of Makhdoompur village. Police have also recovered the sticks used in the incident from the accused.
