Cyclone Montha: Trains Cancelled Due to Cyclone Montha
Cyclone Montha could intensify at any time. In view of this, the South Central Railway has cancelled 72 trains. Trains scheduled for October 28th and 29th have been cancelled. This cyclone could impact several areas in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha.

According to Prakhar Jain, Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority, the cyclone has begun to show its strength. It has begun to make landfall. Thunderstorms and rain are being felt in coastal districts. It is highly likely to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm by Tuesday. All departments have been put on high alert.
Residents of 360 houses being evacuated
The police department is also fully prepared for this cyclone. As a precaution, residents of 360 houses are being evacuated. Cyclone Montha is causing heavy to very heavy rainfall and strong winds in several districts, disrupting normal life.
