Uttarakhand Foundation Day 2025: Cultural programs to be held from November 1 to 9, know when and what will be special

Uttarakhand will be abuzz with cultural fervor this year to mark its foundation day. The Sanskrit Department will host a grand “Ninaad” Himalayan Art, Music, and Culture Festival from November 1st to 9th.
Programs will be held in three sessions
Sanskrit Department Secretary Yugal Kishore Pant informed at a press conference that programs will be held in three sessions daily, featuring a blend of folk dance, classical music, theatrical performances, and cultural discussions.
Find out what will be special:
- On November 1st, the program will begin with a folk dance performance. Students from Bhatkhande Hindustani Music College, Pauri, will perform a cultural performance, while Rameshwari Bhatt will present Jagar singing. The highlight of the day will be a musical performance by Padmashree Suresh Wadkar.
- On November 2nd, Himachal’s famous Naati dance, Arya Nanda’s Odissi dance, and Narendra Singh Negi’s folk singing performance will add to the Uttarakhandi atmosphere. A panel discussion will also be held on “Cinema in Uttarakhand.” The Pandavaz Band will also spread its magic.
- On November 3rd and 4th, tribal folk dances, Tibetan and Assamese dances, as well as the Mohan Veena performance by Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and the Kathak jugalbandi performance by Pt. Harish Gangani will mesmerize the audience.
- On November 5th, performances by Malini Awasthi and santoor player Pt. Rahul Sharma will be a special attraction. On November 6th, there will be a discussion on ‘Nanda Raj Jat’ and cultural programs by various institutions.
- Programs from November 7th to 9th will showcase the cultural heritage of Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Bhutan, and the Himalayan regions. Artists like the Pandavaz Band, Dr. Sonal Mansingh, and Pt. Ritesh-Rajneesh Mishra will grace the stage with their music.
