Uttarakhand Foundation Day 2025: Youth Festival to be organised till November 8

A youth festival will be held from November 6th to November 8th to mark the silver jubilee of Uttarakhand’s foundation day. On Tuesday, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Rekha Arya reviewed preparations for the festival with departmental officials.

Minister Rekha Arya stated that folk dance, folk song, writing, and speech competitions will be held during the festival. For the first time this year, online entries are being accepted for the competitions. Cultural events will be held every evening. Minister Rekha Arya stated that departmental officials have been instructed to contact various government and private schools to participate in this year’s youth festival, ensuring maximum participation of youth.
Agniveer recruitment training being provided by the Sports Department to youth preparing for the Agniveer recruitment was also reviewed at the meeting. She stated that this training will begin in the first week of November. Necessary arrangements have been made at all district headquarters. The Minister said that for this, a lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the youth of all the districts of the state and till now more than 600 youth have registered online for the training.
