Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary: Uttarakhand tableau to be seen at the Statue of Unity

Uttarakhand’s tableau, “Eight Elements and Unity,” will be displayed in the parade to be held in front of the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, on October 31st, to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

This tableau will showcase Uttarakhand’s spiritual and natural splendor, as well as various dimensions of culture and progress. During the parade held during this main Unity Day celebration, folk artists from the state will present programs based on Uttarakhand’s rich cultural heritage.
Director General of the Information Department, Banshidhar Tiwari, stated that Uttarakhand is honored to participate in the national-level main event to be held in front of the Statue of Unity to mark Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary. After several rounds of deliberations and evaluations by the Home Ministry’s expert committee, Uttarakhand’s tableau, along with those of eight selected states from across the country, was finally selected.
Preparations Complete for Cultural Presentation: Chauhan
Tiwari stated that the state’s tableau, “Ashta Tatva Aur Ektva,” which symbolizes the spirit of harmony and unity of the eight elements, will showcase Uttarakhand’s divine religious sites, natural beauty, cultural richness, and progressive approach to sustainable and holistic development. The tableau is being created under the direction of K.S. Chauhan, the tableau’s nodal officer and Joint Director of the Information Department.
Chauhan stated that all preparations for the tableau and the artists’ cultural presentation have been completed. A fourteen-member team of folk artists from the state will perform traditional folk dances of Uttarakhand in the Ekta Parade. He stated that the state team successfully participated in the full dress rehearsal held on Wednesday in front of the Statue of Unity.
