29-year-old Shreyas Iyer is recovering from his injury. He shared a positive update on his injury in a post on social media. He also thanked his fans. In the post, Shreyas Iyer wrote, “I am currently in the recovery process and feeling better every day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love, well wishes, and support. It means a lot to me. Thank you for praying for my health.”
Shreyas was admitted to the ICU
It should be noted that Shreyas Iyer suffered an injury during the third ODI between India and Australia (IND vs AUS). Iyer ran backwards to catch Alex Carey. He was injured while taking the catch at backward point. This fractured his left rib. Medical reports indicate that his spleen has ruptured.
Iyer will not be seen playing before January 2026
Following this, he was admitted to a Sydney hospital. Currently, Shreyas Iyer is out of danger. His condition is stable and he is undergoing recovery.
