On October 30th, Team India created history. They reached the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup final after defeating Australia in the semi-finals. Jemimah Rodrigues’ historic century helped India reach the final.

With an unbeaten 127, India defeated Australia by five wickets in the semi-finals. After playing the match-winning innings, Jemimah was in tears. She was sobbing profusely. After the victory, she couldn’t control her emotions. She revealed that she had cried every day during this tournament. She then thanked the fans and God.

Jemimah Rodrigues’ unbeaten 127 helped India successfully chase down a target of over 300 in the knockout match of the Women’s ODI World Cup. India reached the World Cup final for the third time. She became very emotional after the victory. She was also crying profusely.

Speaking to the broadcaster after the win, Jemimah said, “I want to thank Jesus, I couldn’t have done this alone. I want to thank my mother, father, coach, and everyone who believed in me. The last month has been really tough, it feels like a dream, and it still hasn’t come true.”

Jemimah further said, “I didn’t know I was batting at number three. Five minutes before I came into the match, I was told I was batting at number three. It wasn’t about me, I wanted to win this match for India and see it through.”

Jemima said, “Today wasn’t about my half-century or century, it was about helping India win. Everything that’s happened so far has been a preparation for this. I wasn’t feeling well, I was going through anxiety. I knew I had to show up, and God took care of everything.”

Jemima couldn’t stop herself from crying
She continued, “In the beginning, I was just playing and I kept talking to myself. In the end, I just kept remembering what was written in the Bible: ‘Stand still, and God will fight for me.’ I stood there, and He fought for me. I had a lot left in me, but I tried to remain calm. I couldn’t help but watch India win by five wickets.”

‘This month was very difficult’ – Jemima
She said, “I want to thank my mother, father, coach, and everyone who believed in me. This month was very difficult, and this feels like a dream. Deepti kept encouraging me. Richa came and picked me up.”

Jemima said, “My teammates kept encouraging me. I can’t take credit for this innings. I didn’t do anything myself. Everyone in the crowd cheered me on and encouraged me with every run.”
