The Uttarakhand Swabhiman Morcha has raised a major issue regarding the changing demographics of Uttarakhand. The Morcha’s state president, Bobby Panwar, held a press conference and alleged that this sensitive matter, concerning the state’s security, law and order, and the identity of tribal areas, has become an example of negligence on the part of the government and administration.

Ghulam Haider from Jammu and Kashmir purchased land through backdoor dealings

Bobby Panwar claimed that Ghulam Haider, who previously served in the police department in Jammu and Kashmir, managed to purchase land in the Kalsi area with the help of corrupt elements within Uttarakhand’s system and some politicians connected to those in power. He stated that this is not merely a land dispute, but a serious threat to the state’s demographics and security. Panwar alleged that two videos related to this land deal have been released from Pakistan, further deepening the suspicion.

Fake Certificates Being Issued in Vikasnagar and Kalsi

Bobby Panwar stated that he had exposed similar cases in February 2024 as well. Some action was taken at that time, but later attempts were made to suppress the entire matter. He said that there are continuous reports of fake certificates being issued in the Vikasnagar and Kalsi tehsils. The government talks about controlling population growth, but the ground reality is quite the opposite.

Warning of a Fierce Protest

Bobby Panwar, president of the Swabhiman Morcha, warned that if immediate action is not taken and the guilty officials are not dismissed from service, the Swabhiman Morcha will prepare for a large-scale protest and will call upon the public to take to the streets.
