A state-level excellence awards ceremony was held in Haldwani on World Disability Day. The Chief Minister honored disabled heroes who, with their self-confidence and strong willpower, not only paved their own path in life but also guided the entire society towards a positive direction.
CM Lays Foundation Stone for ₹9.05 Crore Project
On this occasion, CM Dhami also laid the foundation stone for a multipurpose office building for the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Uttarakhand, Uttarakhand Multipurpose Finance and Development Corporation Limited, and the IT Cell, Social Welfare, at a cost of ₹9.05 crore. This will strengthen and streamline services for disabled individuals in the future.
Government Working for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities: CM
In his address, the CM said that the government is fully committed to the respect and empowerment of persons with disabilities. Through numerous welfare programs such as scholarships, pensions, distribution of assistive devices, and skill development, the government is continuously working towards socially and economically empowering disabled individuals.
