The accident is reported to have occurred early Thursday morning at 5:30 AM. According to reports, the Volvo bus, carrying passengers, was traveling from Delhi towards Dehradun. Near the Nunawala Gurudwara, the bus collided with a tractor-trailer loaded with sugarcane that was moving ahead of it. Screams and cries of distress erupted at the scene of the accident.
Driver dies in the accident
The bus driver died on the spot in the accident, while the conductor was injured and rushed to the hospital for treatment. The deceased driver has been identified as Yogendra (52), a resident of Ghaziabad. The other passengers on the bus are reported to be safe.
