Haridwar police have arrested 12 fake gurus who were spreading fraud and superstition in the name of religion. These imposters were reportedly deceiving the general public.

According to the police, these individuals, disguised as gurus and sadhus, were misleading local people by pretending to perform tantric rituals, black magic, and other superstitious practices. Their activities were causing crowds to gather in the area, raising concerns about a potential breakdown of law and order. A team from the Sidcul police station took all the imposters into custody.
Attempting to extort money from the public
Preliminary investigations revealed that these individuals had come from different districts and were posing as gurus to extort money from people. Police officials stated that Operation Kalnemi, an ongoing campaign against such imposters and fake tantrics, is continuing throughout the state.
