Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in India today, December 4th. This is his first visit since the war in Ukraine began. He will receive a grand welcome at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. Following his arrival, he will proceed directly to the Prime Minister’s residence on Lok Kalyan Marg (the renamed Prime Minister’s residence), where he will have a private dinner with Narendra Modi.

What time will Putin arrive in Delhi today?
This two-day visit will celebrate the 25-year-old strategic partnership between India and Russia. The two countries will discuss political, defense, energy, cultural, and scientific matters during this time.

Putin will arrive in India on an IL-96 jetliner
It is reported that Putin’s plane will land in India at 4:30 PM today. However, some reports claim he will arrive at 6:30 PM. Strict security arrangements have been made for the Russian President’s arrival. The capital has been placed under a five-layer security cordon. Along with Putin’s personal security teams, Delhi Police, central agencies, SWAT teams, and anti-terror squads will be deployed at every step.

Paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi
The next day, December 5th, Putin will be formally welcomed at 11:00 AM. President Droupadi Murmu will meet with President Putin at Rashtrapati Bhavan (the Presidential Palace), where he will be given a guard of honor. Following this, Putin will visit Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. This is a tradition followed by every foreign dignitary visiting India.
