A shopkeeper had to pay a heavy price for removing a vehicle parked in front of his shop. The police station in-charge became furious and forcibly took the shopkeeper to the police station. A video of the incident has also surfaced, in which some police officers are forcibly picking up the shopkeeper and making him sit in a police jeep. Seeing the embarrassment, the dispute was later resolved through a compromise.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Saturday morning. A police station in-charge in the Haldwani area stopped his car for tea. He parked his car in front of a shop. The shopkeeper arrived at the shop when the shop was about to open and disturbed the police station in-charge, who was drinking tea. The shopkeeper asked him to move his car, sparking a dispute. Afterward, the officer, flaunting his uniform, took him to the police station. A video of this incident is going viral on social media. Fearing the video would go viral and a complaint would reach higher authorities, a compromise was reached and the shopkeeper was released. Senior journalist Ajit Rathi also raised questions about the police’s working style on his Twitter account. Local residents are also angry about the incident.
