Uttarakhand: CM Dhami performed Rudrabhishek at Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple and also held discussions with saints and sages regarding the Kumbh Mela

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Haridwar on Monday, December 15th. There, he offered prayers at the famous Dakshineshwar Mahadev Temple in Kankhal and also met with sadhus and saints. After participating in the ritualistic water offering and yagna (fire sacrifice) at the temple, the Chief Minister met with and sought blessings from the saints of the Sanyasi, Bairagi, and Nirmal akhadas (religious orders). Discussions were also held with the sadhus and saints regarding the preparations for the Kumbh Mela.
Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said that with the blessings of the sadhus and saints and the cooperation of everyone, a grand Kumbh Mela will be organized in Haridwar in 2027. Devotees from across the country and the world will arrive in Haridwar for the festival. Chief Minister Dhami said that whenever he visits the city of Lord Shiva, he always wishes to receive the blessings of Lord Shiva. Today, after performing the Rudrabhishek and Jalabhishek (water offering) to Lord Shiva, he prayed that all the work of the state be completed without any obstacles.
He said that the Kumbh Mela is also to be held in Haridwar in 2027. He also prayed to Lord Shiva that all the preparations for the Mela be completed successfully. He has received the blessings of all the saints and hopes that this blessing will continue. He expressed confidence that he will receive the cooperation of the people of Haridwar, and that the government and administration will work together to make Kumbh 2027 divine and grand. He said that Kumbh 2027 is a great opportunity where people from all over the world will come to Uttarakhand, and efforts will be made to provide them with all the necessary arrangements so that they leave with a spiritual image of Uttarakhand.
Meanwhile, the President of the Akhara Parishad and Secretary of the Mahanirvani Akhara, Mahant Ravindra Puri, said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had expressed his desire to perform the Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva on Monday. He also wanted to seek the blessings of the saints of all sects. Therefore, his visit was arranged at short notice. Mahant Ravindra Puri added that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also prayed to Lord Shiva today that Kumbh 2027 be divine and grand, for which all the saints will cooperate with the government and administration. The strategy for 2027 will be developed periodically in collaboration with the government and administration.
