The young all-rounder, a resident of Gujipur village in Amethi district, was bought by Chennai Super Kings for a staggering amount. The team acquired him for a record-breaking ₹14.29 crore, making Prashant Veer the most expensive uncapped player in IPL history.

It’s worth noting that his base price in this mini-auction was only ₹30 lakh. However, Chennai Super Kings showed immense faith in him, spending nearly 47 times his base price to secure his services. This bid instantly brought Prashant Veer into the national spotlight.

As soon as the news reached Prashant Veer’s village, the entire village erupted in joy. People flocked to Prashant’s house to congratulate him and his parents, offering them sweets and best wishes.
