The Congress party’s rally held in Delhi last Sunday has become embroiled in controversy. The BJP alleges that controversial slogans were raised against Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the rally. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has criticized the Congress over this issue. The BJP claims that the Congress, out of frustration and despair, is resorting to making baseless and irresponsible statements. The Congress has also responded to these allegations in its own style.
Specifically, regarding the BJP’s allegation that controversial slogans were raised against PM Modi at the Congress rally in Delhi, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami made a strong statement. He said that the kind of language the Congress is using at the behest of its leadership has no place in society or politics.
He said that whether it was the comments made about Prime Minister Modi’s late mother or the use of abusive language against the Prime Minister at the Congress party’s rally in Delhi on December 14th, it certainly reflects the frustration and despair of the Congress. The way the people of the country are rejecting the Congress in various states is the reason why the Congress is resorting to making such irresponsible statements.
Following CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s statement, Uttarakhand Congress state president Ganesh Godiyal also issued a statement. Ganesh Godiyal clarified that no abusive language was used against PM Modi at the Congress rally held in Delhi on December 14th against electoral irregularities.
Ganesh Godiyal said that the Congress never uses abusive language against anyone from any of its platforms. He alleged that it is the BJP people who do such things. He accused the BJP of being notorious for gathering people and sending them to such rallies so that these people can make derogatory remarks about the Prime Minister or his late mother.
Godiyal said that this is not the work of the Congress but a tactic orchestrated by the BJP. He clarified that if something is said from the stage, the Congress would certainly react, but it is not the Congress’s job to respond if BJP people instigate someone to say something in the streets and alleys. If the Chief Minister were actually working, he would be focusing on the pressing problems of the state, but instead, he is preoccupied with who said what about the Prime Minister.
