Uttarakhand: Under the CM Vatsalya Yojana, three crore rupees have been transferred to the bank accounts of 5177 children who lost their loved ones during the COVID-19 pandemic

Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya transferred Rs. 3.09 crore to the accounts of 5,177 children in the state who lost their loved ones to COVID-19, under the Chief Minister’s Vatsalya Yojana. This amount, for the months of October and November, was disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
At a program held at the Yamuna Colony camp office, the minister said that many children in the state had lost one or both of their parents during the COVID-19 pandemic. The state government is providing these children with financial assistance of Rs. 3,000 per month under the Chief Minister’s Vatsalya Yojana.
In addition, they are also receiving free education, food grains, and other facilities. An amount of Rs. 1,55,31,000 was released for 5,177 beneficiaries for the month of October, and Rs. 1,54,41,000 for 5,147 beneficiaries for the month of November. Departmental Director Bansi Lal Rana, BJP leader Inder Rawat, CPO Anjana Gupta, and Deputy CPO Rajiv Nayan were present at the program.
These will be excluded from the scheme:
Under the Chief Minister’s Vatsalya Yojana, beneficiaries are excluded from the scheme upon reaching the age of 21, or in the case of female beneficiaries, upon marriage, or if the beneficiary becomes employed.
