Uttarakhand: CM Dhami inspected the Agniveer recruitment training center in Dehradun and interacted with the young people preparing for Agniveer recruitment, boosting their morale

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today inspected the Agniveer Recruitment Training Center, operated by the Youth Welfare and Provincial Armed Constabulary Department and the Sports Department at the Provincial Armed Constabulary Directorate, Raipur (Dehradun). During the inspection, he thoroughly reviewed the training arrangements.
The Chief Minister directly interacted with the youth preparing for the Agniveer recruitment and gathered information about their training experience, daily routine, and challenges. He also asked the youth what facilities they felt they needed during their training.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister observed the physical training, running practice, sports activities, and other basic facilities available at the training center. He directed the officials to ensure that all facilities provided to the youth meet high quality standards.
Chief Minister Dhami stated that the state government is providing free and quality training to the youth preparing for the Agniveer recruitment, so that they can confidently serve the nation.
To encourage the youth, the Chief Minister himself participated in sports activities organized at the training center and interacted with them, urging them to move forward with discipline, hard work, and a positive attitude.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to update training programs periodically and, with the assistance of expert trainers, strengthen the youth physically and mentally.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “The Agniveer Scheme is a golden opportunity for the youth of the country. Our government strives to ensure that the youth of Uttarakhand, through this scheme, serve the nation while also becoming self-reliant. Providing them with every possible facility and guidance is our priority.”
The Chief Minister said that through the Agniveer Scheme, youth are being provided with the opportunity to serve in the three armed forces of the country. This scheme develops patriotism, discipline, leadership skills, and self-confidence in youth. By receiving military training at an early age, youth not only contribute to the security of the country but also acquire skills useful in every aspect of life.
He said that the state government believes that Agniveer training not only strengthens youth physically but also mentally. Through rigorous training, disciplined routines, and teamwork, youth develop decision-making abilities and a sense of responsibility, which brightens their future.
The Chief Minister said that youth trained under the Agniveer scheme also become capable of employment and self-employment in various fields after their service period. Skills acquired during military training, such as discipline, time management, leadership, and technical proficiency, provide them with better opportunities in the private and public sectors.
Officials present on the occasion said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state government is ensuring that as many youth as possible from Uttarakhand can benefit from the Agniveer scheme. To this end, free training, improved resources, experienced instructors, and modern facilities are being provided within the state, enabling the youth of the state to showcase their talent at the national level. Special Chief Secretary Amit Sinha, Additional Secretary Dr. Ashish Chauhan, and senior officials from the Sports and Youth Welfare Department and the Provincial Armed Constabulary were present on the occasion.
