Five people died from suffocation due to a charcoal brazier in their room at the Sterling Resort hotel on Pipli Road in Kurukshetra. According to reports, five laborers, who were part of a construction crew working at the Sterling Resort, were sleeping in a room at night.

When a cleaning staff member informed him that no one had come out of the room, he knocked on the door and then looked through the window, but there was no response. He then informed the police. The police are currently investigating the matter.

Post-mortem to be conducted after arrival of family members

SHO City Dinesh Rana said that the post-mortem examination of all the deceased will be conducted after their family members arrive. Prima facie, the cause of death for all five people appears to be suffocation. The room had only one window and a door, which were closed while the five people were sleeping.
