Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken serious note of the bear attacks that occurred near school premises in the Pokhri development block of Chamoli district, demonstrating sensitivity and prompt action. The Chief Minister spoke directly with the injured student over the phone, inquiring about his well-being and offering him comfort and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Chief Minister Dhami said that the state government stands firmly with the affected family during this difficult time and will ensure that there is no shortage of treatment or security at any level. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also spoke with Divya and Deepika, the courageous students who displayed immense bravery, presence of mind, and human sensitivity in saving the children from the bear attack. The Chief Minister praised the girls’ bravery, saying that the courage, patience, and sense of responsibility they demonstrated at such a young age is a source of pride and inspiration for the entire state.
The Chief Minister said that ensuring the safety of other children without regard for their own lives in a time of crisis is an example of extraordinary courage. He encouraged the girls and wished them a bright future, adding that the state government will always encourage such brave children. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed the district administration and the Forest Department to immediately increase patrolling in the affected areas and ensure additional robust security arrangements around schools, Anganwadi centers, and populated areas. He made it clear that all necessary and effective steps should be taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future.
The Chief Minister also directed that the injured student be provided with proper medical facilities and that the affected family receive all possible assistance. He instructed the officials to maintain regular vigilance and instill confidence in the local people regarding their safety. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the safety of children is the highest priority for the state government, and the government will work with complete commitment and firmness in all circumstances to protect the lives and property of its citizens.
