167 new AEROs deployed in Uttarakhand for SIR; here is the district-wise list

In preparation for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Uttarakhand, 167 new officers have been deployed. 167 additional Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) have been appointed in the state’s 70 assembly constituencies in view of the SIR.
The Election Commission of India has issued a notification for this. Currently, 70 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) at the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) level and 268 AEROs at the Tehsildar level are deployed in the state’s 70 assembly constituencies. With the appointment of these 167 new AEROs, a total of 435 AEROs will be involved in conducting the upcoming Special Intensive Revision and its preparations.
Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Vijay Kumar Jogdande stated that the 167 additional Assistant Electoral Registration Officers appointed by the Commission have been deployed specifically for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision. He informed that these appointments mainly include Block Development Officers, Executive Officers, Assistant Municipal Commissioners, Consolidation Officers, and other officials.
The Additional Chief Electoral Officer further stated that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been instructed to establish contact, coordination, and communication with voters under the “BLO Outreach Campaign.” He added that the EROs and AEROs will regularly monitor the outreach campaign being conducted by the BLOs.
