BJP National General Secretary and State In-Charge Dushyant Gautam has objected to the news circulating about him in the media and on social media regarding the Ankita Bhandari murder case.
In a letter to Home Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, he described the news circulating on internet platforms, Facebook, Meta, Instagram, and YouTube channels as false and fabricated, and requested that such content be removed and its dissemination stopped.
Several audio and video clips concerning the BJP state in-charge are currently circulating on social media. These clips contain various comments about him. The BJP state in-charge has written a letter to the Home Secretary regarding this matter.
In the letter, the BJP state in-charge stated that he is a social and political figure with a long-standing reputation in society. He recently became aware that, as part of a criminal conspiracy, some unscrupulous and shameless individuals with criminal tendencies have created false and fabricated audio clips and are maliciously promoting and disseminating them through the media and social media.
In the letter, he mentioned 28 Facebook and Meta IDs, nine Instagram handles, two X (formerly Twitter) handles, and eight YouTube channels.
He requested the Home Secretary to direct these platforms to remove this content and prevent its dissemination, both directly and indirectly. He also shared information about the content being circulated in the media and on social media with the Home Secretary as evidence.
