A call for a Uttarakhand bandh (shutdown) has been issued for January 11th, and Ankita Bhandari’s father has also made an emotional appeal

Ankita Bhandari’s father, Virendra Bhandari, has himself appealed to the people of the state to observe the Uttarakhand bandh.

Virendra Bhandari appealed to the people, especially the business community, to support the Uttarakhand bandh on January 11th.

Ankita Bhandari’s father has not yet met Urmila: When questioned about Urmila Sanawar’s video, Virendra Bhandari said that he has not yet spoken to Urmila Sanawar, but he wants the investigation and action in this case to be based on Urmila Sanawar’s statements. Virendra Bhandari has also demanded a CBI investigation. He clarified that his fight will continue until Ankita receives complete justice.

Why is the Ankita Bhandari murder case back in the news? Recently, Urmila Sanawar, who claims to be the wife of Suresh Rathore, released a video in which she played an audio recording of an alleged conversation between herself and Suresh Rathore on their mobile phones. This audio contains significant information regarding the Ankita Bhandari murder case, and since its release, there has been an uproar throughout the state. The Congress party and the public have demanded a CBI investigation into the matter. Now, Ankita’s father has also demanded a CBI investigation and called for a Uttarakhand bandh on January 11th.

It is worth noting that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also issued a statement on this matter yesterday. He himself had said that the government would not back down from any investigation. CM Dhami had also said that he would personally meet Ankita’s parents.
