Landslides caused difficulties in transportation
For a long time, the problem of landslides in the Sirobagarh area caused immense difficulties for travelers and local residents. Taking this problem seriously, the district administration made continuous efforts to conduct site inspections, technical assessments, and expedite the proposal to higher levels.
The work will involve scaling of loose rocks, and strengthening of hill slopes through high-tensile cable nets, DT mesh, and rock anchors, which will effectively control future landslide incidents. This work will be executed on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) basis.
Kedarnath and Badrinath pilgrimage will be easier
The District Magistrate of Rudraprayag said that the approval of the Sirobagarh treatment work will make traffic on the national highway safer and facilitate the Char Dham pilgrimage as well as the movement of local people. The district administration is continuously working, giving top priority to public safety and public amenities.
