Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami called Kashipur Mayor Deepak Bali on Tuesday. The mayor then connected the CM with the family of the deceased farmer over the phone. The Chief Minister assured the family that the law is taking its course and that no matter who the culprit is, they will not escape justice.

Emotional video made before death
On Sunday morning, farmer Sukhwant Singh committed suicide by shooting himself in Haldwani late at night. Before shooting himself, the farmer made a video in which he said that some property dealers had defrauded him of Rs 4 crore. He had also complained to the police, but they took no action.

Serious allegations leveled against SSP and several police officers
Farmer Sukhwant Singh alleged that the police had mentally harassed him. The farmer accused the property dealers, along with Udham Singh Nagar SSP Manikant Mishra and several other police officers, of taking Rs 30 lakh to suppress the case.
