On Tuesday, Dr. Neeraj Agarwal, the chief medical superintendent of the district hospital, said that the e-rickshaw driver, Deepak, arrived at the hospital with a snake about a foot and a half long in his pocket. He then claimed that this was the snake that had bitten him. He was subsequently given an anti-venom injection.

The doctor also stated that he asked Deepak to leave the snake outside the hospital so that other patients wouldn’t be at risk. However, Deepak refused to comply. Consequently, the doctor had to inform the police. The police then took the snake into their custody.
