Young man swept away in the strong current of the Ganges Canal
Nemi Singh Bhati, originally from Vrindavan, lives with his family in a rented house in the Ganeshpur area of Roorkee. The family has a son, Ishant, and a daughter. Last Thursday afternoon, Ishant was sitting on the embankment of the Ganges Canal near Mewar Road with two friends, eating something. While washing his hands, Ishant went into the canal, but suddenly his foot slipped, and he was swept away by the strong current of the Ganges Canal.
Family members are inconsolable
After the incident, there was chaos in the area. Upon receiving the information, the water police and local police reached the spot and launched a search operation. However, even after two days, there is still no trace of Ishant. Since the incident, the family members are inconsolable. The parents’ grief is bringing tears to everyone’s eyes. A large number of local people have also gathered at the spot and are praying for the young man’s safety.
Search operation continues for the young man
Regarding the matter, SP Rural Shekhar Chandra Suyal informed that a young man drowned in the Ganges Canal two days ago. Water police and SDRF teams are continuously conducting a search operation to find the young man. The search for the missing young man is still underway. The family members are also anxiously waiting for their son.
