DGP Ramachandra Rao suspended
Ramachandra Rao has called these videos fake and morphed. He said that an attempt is being made to tarnish his image through these videos. He has also demanded a forensic investigation to verify the authenticity of the videos.
He has completely denied the videos, calling them false and fabricated, and declared himself completely innocent. He said he knows nothing about them. He mentioned that he was posted in Belagavi eight years ago. The government has also ordered an investigation into the video.
Actress Ranya Rao is the daughter of DGP Ramachandra Rao
The actress Ranya Rao, whose father is Director General of Police Ramachandra Rao, is currently going viral. She was arrested in 2025 in the state’s biggest gold smuggling case. Last year in March, Ranya Rao was found in possession of 14.8 kg of gold bars while returning from Dubai. The gold was worth ₹12.56 crore. Following her arrest, a large amount of property was also seized during a raid on her house.
