Uttar Pradesh: The electricity department sent a bill of five crores drunk! Seeing the senses of the consumer… now waiting to be corrected

An electricity bill of five crore seven lakh rupees was sent to a consumer’s premises in Kaipiyarganj section of Electricity Corporation, seeing which the whole family was taken aback. When the concerned Junior Engineer was contacted for bill rectification, he called it a departmental mistake. The consumer is now waiting for the bill to be correct. Paras Nishad, a resident of Jungle Kaudia block village Dahla Tola Mahla, has a betel leaf at the Majnu intersection. Somehow he manages the family. Paras has taken one kilowatt electricity connection in his four-room house in the village, in lieu of which he also pays the bill on time every month.

Here, for a few months, the bills were not able to be deposited on time. Paras reached the electrical sub-station at Sihorwa on Wednesday and demanded his bill. When the employee took out the bill online, it was found that the arrears of electricity is close to Rs 5 crore 7 lakh 34 thousand. He was shocked to see the bill. When he asked to correct the bill, it started being postponed here and there. He gave this information to the Junior Engineer.

Superintendent Engineer Rural Vinod Kumar told that there is no information about the case. But, if so, then it is wrong. Along with the reader, the responsible people of the corporation should also keep in mind the load, electricity connection capacity, average bill submission, while preparing the bill. Only after this the bill should be made. While our engineer Ram Manohar told that this bill has come due to load disturbance. Electricity bill will be given after getting it corrected.
