In such a situation, if a private bike is used as a taxi service in the near future, then a fine of Rs 5000 will be imposed for the first time and Rs 10,000 for the second time or later. Along with this, the driving license of the driver will be suspended for at least 3 years.
Strong warning to aggregators
The Delhi Transport Department has strongly warned all the aggregators associated with bike taxi service that strict action will be taken against them under the Motor Vehicle Act if they take bookings through their platform, i.e. app or website.
