Uttar Pradesh: To take advantage of the government scheme, the brother became the bridegroom of the sister!

A shocking news has come out from Tundla of Firozabad, where a brother married his sister to get the money of Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme, investigation is being done after the matter is disclosed. In a strange incident, a man married his own sister in a mass marriage to get money from the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme. Actually, marriages are conducted by the Social Welfare Department. Under the mass marriage scheme, the state government gives Rs 35,000 to each couple apart from housewarming gifts. As per the details of the scheme, Rs 20,000 is deposited in the groom’s bank account and a gift of Rs 10,000 is also given. The marriage took place on December 11 in Tundla, Firozabad.
Couple identified as brother and sister
The matter came to light when local villagers recognized the married couple as brother and sister. The program was organized in the premises of Tundla Block Development Office, in which 51 other couples also got married. Block Development Officer Tundla Naresh Kumar said that action will be taken against the persons involved in this. An FIR has also been lodged against the brother whose Aadhaar card is being verified.
Investigation of the case continues
Block Development Officer Naresh Kumar told that clarification has been sought from Gram Panchayat Secretary Mersena Kushalpal, Gram Panchayat Ghiroli Secretary Anurag Singh, ADO Cooperative Sudhir Kumar, ADO Social Welfare Department Chandrabhan Singh, who are searching and verifying couples for marriage. Action will be taken against them if they do not get a satisfactory answer.
FIR registered against the accused
The BDO says that an FIR has been registered against the accused brother for getting married in a fake way. Apart from this, action is also being taken against many other couples on the charges of forgery. Goods have also been taken back from a woman. The matter is being investigated there. Strict action will be taken against the accused if found guilty in the investigation.
