Today is the second day of the three-day summit of G-20 CSAR. The meeting has started. Chief science advisors of 20 countries are brainstorming on four agendas. Health is also an important issue in this. Experts will reflect on prevention of disease and prevention of epidemic. On Tuesday, scientists from Pantnagar, Rudrapur to Ramnagar were given a grand welcome. Strict security arrangements have been made. The conference started on Wednesday morning at the Taj Resort in Dhikuli. In the first agenda, there will be brainstorming on opportunities in ‘One Health’ for better preparedness for disease control and dealing with epidemics. In the second agenda, there will be a brainstorm on how science-related information should reach everyone in an accessible and free, quick way.
The conference will continue till around 6 pm
The third agenda involves developing a global policy on diversity, equality, inclusion in the field of science and technology, coordinating efforts among world leaders. Apart from this, our traditional knowledge will be used after proper scientific verification. In the fourth agenda, experts will brainstorm on strengthening the global science advisory system. There will also be talks on how developing and less developing countries can be benefited through dialogue by developing an institutional mechanism. The conference will go on till around 6 pm.
