Uttar Pradesh: Buses will be reduced on Delhi, Meerut, Chandausi routes

If you frequently travel by roadways from Moradabad to Delhi, Meerut or Chandausi then there may be trouble in the coming days. Roadways buses will be reduced on these routes. 30 old buses of Moradabad area have been auctioned. Around 150 more buses are to be auctioned.
This action is being taken under the new junk policy of the government. At present, there are 451 government buses at Rampur, Amroha, Moradabad, Pitalnagari, Najibabad, Chandpur, Bijnor depots in Moradabad region. After auctioning 150 buses, 300 buses will be left. Roadways management uses old buses for Kaushambi, Meerut, Amroha, Rampur and Sambhal-Chandausi. After the buses are auctioned, passengers may face problems even on local routes. Though private vehicles ply on these routes, the fares are high. Whereas, due to less number of buses, passengers will have to wait a long time on long routes.
Trouble may increase in May-June
During the school holidays in May-June, many passengers travel by roadways buses. The old buses will be auctioned by the end of April. Due to this, people may have to wait a long time for the buses at the bus stands during the holidays. Before this, there may be shortage of buses on the occasion of Eid. Although the roadways management claims that the number of contracted buses will be increased up to.
Emphasis is on increasing contracted buses
Roadways management is trying to make the ratio of 75 and 25 in buses. That is, 75 percent of the buses will remain contracted. While 25 percent government buses will be kept. Whereas till six months ago this ratio was reverse. In five months, 70 contracted buses have been included in Moradabad area. Most of these buses are being run on village routes.
