alto’s magic is coming to an end! out of the list of top 10, people are liking these 3 cars

Maruti Alto has always been known as an economical and fuel efficient car. The grip of this car, which has been maintaining its strong hold in the market for a long time, seems to be loosening, it seems as if the magic of Alto, the dream car of the common man, is ending. Kashkam’s sales report of vehicles in the last March month is pointing in this direction. This will be almost the first time that this hatchback has not found a place in the top 10 best selling cars list and people have shown interest in other cars instead of Alto.
Maruti Suzuki recently announced to stop production of its Alto 800, although the Alto K10 is still present in the market. Which comes in petrol engine as well as CNG option. About 23 years ago, the company launched the Alto 800 in the domestic market for the first time in the year 2000. It has been the favorite car of the country for more than two decades and now its sales are continuously falling.
What the Sales Report Says:
If you look at the sales report for the month of March, Maruti Swift has got the maximum number of buyers, the company has sold a total of 17,559 units of this car, which was 13,623 units in the same month last year. The Wagon R stood at the second position and the company sold a total of 17,305 units. Maruti Brezza has become the third best selling car in the country and the company has sold a total of 16,227 units.

The number of hatchback cars in the list of top 10 best selling cars is continuously decreasing and their place has been taken by compact SUV vehicles. Maruti Suzuki Alto has also been dropped from this list and with a total of 9,139 units this car remained at the fourteenth (14th) position. However, compared to the total 7,621 units sold in the same month last year, an increase of almost 20% has been seen in its sales.
When the Alto 800 was last discontinued, the car was priced at Rs.3.54 lakhs. Now that the production of Alto 800 has been stopped, the recently launched Alto K10 has become the entry level car of the company, whose price starts from Rs. 3.99 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 5.94 lakhs.Maruti Brezza
Rapidly changing priority:
The demand for hatchback cars is continuously decreasing. Most people are turning vocal towards the compact SUV segment. In the last March, five vehicles were in the top 10 list of the SUV segment. In which Brezza, Creta and Nexon are the main names. Due to the low price, better mileage and sporty look, people are giving preference to SUV vehicles. While the demand for entry level cars has decreased rapidly, in the last few years people’s taste in car buying has changed rapidly. New vehicle buyers are not only giving preference to looks and mileage, but advanced technology and safety features are also on top of their priority list.
