‘This is Punjab, not India, make the tricolor on the face. Woman stopped from entering Golden Temple, SGPC clarifies

A video is going viral on social media with the claim that a woman was stopped from entering the Golden Temple because she wore the tricolor on her face. It can be seen in the video that an argument ensues between the woman and a Gold Temple official, after which the man flares up. In this matter, the General Secretary of SGPC has clarified and said that if any officer has misbehaved with the woman, then apologize for it. Gurcharan Singh Grewal issued a statement saying that the religious place has a dignity and everyone is welcome here. He said that the flag with the woman’s face was not the national flag as it did not have the Ashoka Chakra. It can be a flag of politics, not of the country.
It can be seen in the video clip that a man is arguing with the yellow turbaned official of the temple as to why he is not being allowed inside. When asked why the woman was not being allowed to enter the temple, the officer said it was because the flag was drawn on her face. When the woman says that it is the flag of India, the answer is, ‘It is Punjab, not India.’
