Uttarakhand: Villagers are facing the terror of man-eating tiger here! Night curfew implemented in 25 villages, orders to close schools as well

In Uttarakhand’s Pauri Garhwal, people have been imprisoned in their homes due to the terror of the man-eating tiger. There is terror of this man-eating tiger in 25 villages of Rikhanikhal, Dhumakot area of Pauri district. Alam is that the administration has imposed night curfew in these areas. Along with this, till the tiger is caught, a holiday has been declared in Anganwadi centers and schools. In fact, in Rikhanikhal and Dhumakot areas of Pauri district, a tiger attacked people on April 13 and 15, in which an elderly resident of Dalla village also died. There has been an atmosphere of panic in the area since the tiger attack. The villagers say that tigers are often seen here, due to which the people of the village are forced to live in fear.
Trace cameras installed
Pauri District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan, along with the team of Garhwal Forest Department and Lansdowne Forest Department, Deputy Collector, police personnel and officers of other departments reached Dalla village and met the victim’s family. Trace cameras have been installed by the administration at various places in the village to catch the tiger. Along with this, cages have been installed around the spot by the Forest Department. Along with this, forest department and policemen are also camping here. Curfew has been imposed here from 7 pm to 6 am.
Schools and Anganwadi centers closed
A two-day holiday has been announced for all the schools and Anganwadi centers falling under the Bhadgaon belt of Rikhanikhal and Dhumakot areas. The District Magistrate said that keeping in view the prevailing atmosphere of fear in Dhumakot’s Bhadgaon village and its surrounding areas and the safety of school-going children, holiday has been announced for schools and Anganwadi centers till the situation becomes normal. Along with this, the DM directed the Chief Veterinary Officer, Pauri to ensure arrangements for animal fodder in the affected areas till further orders.
