Will property and gold also have to be linked to Aadhaar? High Court hearing

The Delhi High Court has sought opinion from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. In a petition, it has been demanded that the papers of all movable and immovable properties should be linked to Aadhaar. The bench has also sought answers from the Ministry of Rural Development and Law. The court is hearing the petition of BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay. It was filed in 2019. Last year, the BJP leader was asked to make favor of many ministries. When the hearing took place on Monday, it was found that there were some mistakes in the registry application.
The court asked to remove it and asked different ministries to file replies. Additional Solicitor General Chetan Sharma, appearing for the Central Government, said that an important issue has been raised in the matter. The court is going to do the next hearing in this matter on July 18, 2013. Regarding the demand to link the property with Aadhaar, Upadhyay said that in this way corruption will be curbed. Black money and benami property transactions will be banned. He said that the government is bound to take appropriate steps on corruption and black money and benami property to achieve the goals set under Article 21. He said that this will stop the generation of black money.
Significantly, earlier it was mandatory to link PAN card with Aadhaar. Now the government is trying to take drastic steps to stop the misappropriation of property. The hearing on a petition regarding this matter has been going on for the past several years.
