In Chandigarh, a woman who was running away with her daughter after killing her second husband was caught by the GRP from the general bogie of Jallianwala Bagh Express (12380) on Monday afternoon. Chandigarh police took the woman resident of Bihar with them. Ruby, originally from Kol Buzurg, Amarpur, Kaushalpur, Amarpur Baka, Bihar, was married to Manturam 16 years ago. A daughter was born to this. Eight years ago, Manturam had moved to South Sector 34, Chandigarh for livelihood. On the other hand Manturam’s wife Ruby had married the neighbor Ashish. Manturam later returned to his village, while his daughter (14) and wife Ruby stayed with Ashish.

GRP in-charge RK Dwivedi said that Station House Officer Baldev of Chandigarh Sector 34 informed that Ruby was running away from the train after killing her husband Ashish. According to the description, the GRP caught Ruby and her daughter as soon as the train arrived at platform number six. On Monday late evening Chandigarh police came to Kanpur and took him with them.

Husband kept evil eye on daughter

In the police interrogation, the murderer Ruby confessed that Ashish, the second husband used to torture her as well as kept an evil eye on the daughter after drinking alcohol. According to Ruby, there was a fight over this last week. When Ashish fell in the fight, he thought that the daily ruckus should be put to an end. She killed Ashish with a brick and hid the body in the kitchen and boarded the general coach of the Jallianwala Bagh Express to flee to her first husband’s village. He had caught the train from Jalandhar station.

How can you leave such a husband alive

When the Chandigarh police was taking her away, Ruby said to Inspector RK Dwivedi and Inspector Abbas Haider standing at the gate, “Sir, judge yourself how could you have left such a husband alive who had bad intentions towards his daughter.”
