Haryana / Sonipat: Here the contractor of Municipal Corporation became the killer of monkeys. Corporation canceled the tender

The administration has taken major action in the case of cruelty to monkeys in Sonepat. After the news came in the media, the officials of Sonepat Municipal Corporation have canceled the tender of the monkey catching company. Along with this, the deposit amount of the company has also been confiscated. The Municipal Corporation has filed a case against the owners of the company under the Animal Cruelty Act. Sonipat Municipal Corporation officials have constituted a committee under the leadership of Joint Commissioner for investigation.

Sonipat Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena told that a case of cruelty with monkeys had come to light in Sector 23. In which action has been taken by the corporation. He told that in this case the Welcome Cooperative Society was being given Rs 1800 for catching a monkey. These monkeys were to be released in the forests of Yamuna Nagar, but the contractor locked them in a house. There was neither arrangement for food nor drinking water for them.

Kumari Meena told that in this matter a team has been constituted under the leadership of Sonipat Municipal Corporation Joint Commissioner. Which will investigate this whole matter. At present, all the monkeys have been released in the forests of Yamuna Nagar. Please tell that more than 150 monkeys were found in closed cages in the house of Sonipat Sector 23. Some of which had died. 5 dead monkeys found outside the house. As soon as people came to know about this, they created a ruckus.

Sonepat Municipal Corporation had given a tender to the contractor to catch the monkey. The contractor caught the monkeys of the city and kept them locked in cages in the house located in Sonipat Sector 23. According to people, more than 150 monkeys were locked in about 4 cages. Neither arrangements were made for their food nor arrangements for drinking water. Some of them even died due to having too many monkeys in a cage. While some dead monkeys were thrown outside the house. On getting the information, the police administration reached the spot and took action.
