Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, during the review of the departmental schemes of the Sugarcane Development Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Dairy Development Department and Fisheries Department at the Secretariat on Wednesday made it clear to the officials that the said departments should implement the schemes effectively in a timely manner. Do not consider the implementation of schemes on the ground as a mere formality. The Chief Minister directed that 600 multipurpose milk cooperatives should be established in the state for dairy development, 20 fodder FPOs should be formed in view of fodder shortage, 50 milk producer service centers should be established in clusters of milk societies, 16 Badri Cow Growth Centers should be established. , Automation of the works of Milk Committee and Milk Union, reducing the overhead expenses of Milk Unions, the work of reducing the problem of fodder by planting 10 lakh fodder trees on community land in hilly areas and all the milk societies of Uttarakhand and all The Dairy Development Department should fulfill the target of bringing benefits to milk unions in a timely manner.
Chief Minister Dhami has also instructed the Dairy Development Department to study other successful states in dairy development to encourage dairy development in the state. He directed the Animal Husbandry Department to work seriously on the proposal to increase the rearing of Merino sheep in the state. An MoU will soon be signed in this direction with an Australian breeder.
During the review of the Sugarcane Development Department, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami clearly said that the officers will have to work on proactive mode to bring the sugar mills of Uttarakhand into operation profit. He directed the sugarcane development department to complete the short-term goals of modernization of Bajpur and Kichha sugar mills, change of sugarcane seed in the state, work of sugarcane survey through GPS and promotion of organic sugarcane production in the state. Officials of the Sugarcane Development Department informed Chief Minister Dhami that sugar mills have crushed 10 percent more sugarcane this season as compared to the last season.
During the review of the Fisheries Department, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed that effective implementation of Chief Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana should be ensured in the state. He instructed for expansion of 468.68 hectares of new water areas for fish production, construction of 863 new trout raceways, addition of 200 new cages, 33000 metric tonnes of fish production, and timely completion of the target of 80.0 lakh annual trout fish seed production.
