The DGP said that many devotees think that the yatra runs only in May-June. I want to tell them that it will go on till the second week of November; It continues till Diwali. He said that the month of October in Uttarakhand is very good in terms of weather, so devotees can postpone coming to Chardham Yatra to avoid inconvenience.
Let us tell you that due to the summer holidays, there is a lot of crowd in Chardham Yatra these days. On the other hand, due to the rains in the monsoon, adverse conditions arise in the hilly areas. In view of the frequent deteriorating weather in the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also appealed to the pilgrims to go on the yatra only after getting the weather update so that they do not face any problem on the way.
