Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Jageshwar Dham on the occasion of International Yoga Day and showed a new vision for developing religious tourism through yoga in the state. CM Dhami has chosen the Manskhand region, the third gem included in the new gems of development by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for this event this time.

On the special initiative of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, this time the Yoga Festival was organized at Jageshwar Dham in remote Almora. Chief Minister Dhami said that through the Manas Mandir Mala Mission, the government is developing various facilities in the ancient temples of Kumaon. This scheme is being started from Jageshwar Dham, Jageshwar Dham will be made a center of yoga meditation and spiritual consciousness.

Chief Minister Dhami also mentioned the five combinations of Yoga from Jageshwar Dham and said that Yoga is a heritage in the form of knowledge. The Chief Minister said that Yoga is a combination of physical, mental, spiritual, religious and cultural consciousness. He called upon the people of the state to take a pledge to do yoga for one hour every day to make Uttarakhand excellent at every level. CM Dhami said that do yoga daily, wake up before sunrise and transform yourself, which will also reduce the expenditure on medicines.
The basic foundation of Sanatan culture is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”
Mentioning the Sanatan culture, Chief Minister Dhami said that the basic basis of our glorious Sanatan culture is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and this is also the basic sanskar of 140 crore people of our country, who consider the whole world as one family. Keeping this principle in the center, the theme of International Yoga Day this year was decided as “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”. The Chief Minister said that despite facing many global challenges and conspiracies, India has never deviated from human values and the basis of this public welfare concept of ours is our culture, one of the main pillars of which is Yoga. For this reason, yoga has become an important part of the routine of crores of people of the world today, which is working to connect the world more deeply with the Indian culture.
