For six years, Esperanza followed God’s instructions and deposited around 300,000 euros (Rs 2.76 crore) in a small drawer at a local convenience store. He was told that this money was going to the Church of Heaven.
Local shopkeeper accused of cheating
In this strange case, the victim was suffering from religious delusion. In 2013, he was somehow convinced that God had chosen him and that he was a saint. A local shopkeeper has been accused of robbing the woman who knew about the beliefs of the woman and wanted to take advantage of her.

‘I was not surprised when I got a call from God’

The caller asked him to start depositing his money into “God’s checking account in heaven’s bank”. He was promised better interest than earthly banks, as well as talk of building his own house in heaven with the money saved. I thought it was a good deal.
