Johnson & Johnson has surrendered its license to stop production at its Mumbai plant.Three years after discontinuing production of its talc-based powder in the US and Canada, Johnson & Johnson recently got back the license to manufacture baby powder at its Mumbai plant. Is done. This has been confirmed in a Times of India report. NBT news said the decision to stop manufacturing baby powder in India was part of a global move to switch from talc-based to cornstarch-based baby powder.

FDA commissioner Abhimanyu Kale has confirmed that an application was given on June 22 seeking to stop production of baby powder at its Mulund plant. Three types of licenses were made under the license of the company.
Kale explained, “Companies are not required to give any reason. However, sources said that the company has either stopped production or has slowed down significantly in view of the continuous decline for the last few years.
