Congress announced the Election Committee in MP, Kamalnath becomes the head, Digvijay Singh-Vivek Tenkha

Congress has announced the election committee in Madhya Pradesh for the assembly elections. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has been made the head of this committee. Apart from this, former CM Digvijay Singh, Vivek Tankha, Arun Yadav, Kantilal Bhuria, Suresh Pachauri, Leader of Opposition Dr. Govind Singh have been included in the committee. Apart from this, MLA Arif Masood has also been given a place in this committee.

In fact, assembly elections are to be held in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Telangana later this year. In such a situation, the Congress is trying its best to oust the BJP from power in MP. In this sequence, Congress had recently appointed observers of 5 states.

Surjewala got the responsibility of MP

Congress has appointed senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala as Senior Supervisor giving him a big responsibility in Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, former MP Meenakshi Natarajan has been given the responsibility of Chhattisgarh. At the same time, Madhusudan Mistry was made the senior supervisor of Rajasthan. Surjewala has also played a big role for the Congress in the Karnataka assembly elections. Along with him in Madhya Pradesh, Chandrakant Handore has been made an observer for the assembly elections to be held in Madhya Pradesh, who will look after the work of the party during the assembly elections.

Congress government in two of the 5 states where elections

Assembly elections were held in November-December 2018 in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, MP, Telangana and Mizoram. Congress had won in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, MP.
