Bombay High Court judge Justice Rohit Dev suddenly announced his resignation in open court on Friday. People were surprised to hear this. Announcing his resignation in his courtroom in Nagpur, which houses a bench of the High Court, Justice Deo said he could not compromise on self-respect, according to a lawyer present in the court. Justice Dev said in the court, “I apologize to all of you who are present in the court. I scold you because I want you to improve. I don’t want to hurt any of you because you are all like family to me and I am sorry.” Let me tell you that I have submitted my resignation. I can’t work against my self-esteem. You guys work hard.” Later speaking to reporters, the judge said that he had stepped down due to personal reasons and sent his resignation letter to the President of India.

Let us tell you that in the year 2022, Justice Dev acquitted former Delhi University professor GN Saibaba under the Act (UAPA) in the case of alleged Maoist links, canceled the life sentence given to him and said that illegal activities ( Prevention) the trial proceedings were void in the absence of valid sanction.
