Uttarakhand: CM administered the oath to the office bearers of the Secretariat Association, said – Sensitive, transparent and accountable good governance is the main goal of the state government.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the people of the state have high expectations towards the Secretariat. It is our responsibility to live up to the expectations of the public. We all are parts of the government and development of the state is our goal. The Chief Minister said that the Secretariat is the foundation of good governance in the state. It is from here that decisions are taken for the future of the state and public welfare schemes are implemented. Employees play a big role in implementing public welfare schemes with sensitivity and transparency and taking their benefits to the last person in the society. Sensitive, transparent and accountable good governance is the main objective of the state government. Officers and employees play an important role in achieving this goal.
While administering the oath to the members of the elected executive of the Secretariat Association at the Secretariat on Friday, the Chief Minister announced to provide an amount of Rs 30 lakh for the formation of the Secretariat Employees Welfare Fund and to make arrangements for the visitor’s room in the Secretariat. The Chief Minister also talked about maintaining the previous system of child care leave etc.
While congratulating Secretariat Association President Sunil Lakheda, Vice President Jeetmani Painuli, General Secretary Rakesh Joshi and all the members of the executive, the Chief Minister expected that they will show more sensitivity in providing relief to the common people by providing them with all-round development of the state and the benefits of public welfare schemes. Will be helpful in discharging your responsibilities. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that a new work culture, a new cordial working environment will be seen in the Uttarakhand Secretariat in the coming days.
The Chief Minister said that most of the elected members in the present newly elected Secretariat Association have been Uttarakhand state agitators. He believes that those who actively participated in the Uttarakhand statehood movement would be concerned about the development of this state and the common people in far flung areas. He said that the state of Uttarakhand was formed after a lot of struggles. We have to always keep the feeling of public service in our mind. Our endeavor should always be to satisfy the people.
The Chief Minister said that efforts are underway to increase tourism, industry and GST collection to promote development of resources, investment and economy in the state. In this regard, new policies have been made in various fields. A global investment conference is being organized in December so that entrepreneurs from India and abroad come to invest in the state.
The Chief Minister said that we have to dedicate each and every moment of ours for the interest and development of the state. Our specific actions create our identity. Emphasizing on mutual dialogue in solving public problems, he said that we all have to imbibe the mantra of resolution without option and become allies to include Uttarakhand among the leading states of the country.
The Chief Minister said that the state government will try to solve the problems of the secretariat personnel and complete all the works in the interests of the employees in a timely and planned manner.
The Chief Minister also expressed happiness over the election of some Sangh officials unopposed and said that this will send a message to the employees of the entire state that the officers and employees sitting in the highest body of the state should be elected keeping in mind their trust and dedication in the selection of their representatives. Are elected unopposed.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for passing the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill, which provides for 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and Legislative Assemblies, in the Rajya Sabha after the Lok Sabha.
Additional Chief Secretaries Radha Raturi and Anand Vardhan also congratulated the officials of the Secretariat Association. Union President Sunil Lakheda expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister and presented a check of Rs 1.82 lakh for disaster relief.
