Uttar Pradesh / Amroha: Inspector used to chat with soldier’s wife at night, jumped from the roof to avoid arrest, broke his leg

When the police raided the inspector named in the case of threatening him while chatting with a woman, he jumped from the roof. He broke his leg after falling down and got injured. The police admitted him to a private hospital. From where he was referred to the district hospital.

This entire matter took place on Thursday night in village Himayun Nagar located in Rajabpur police station. This village belongs to the accused inspector. During this time there was a crowd in the village. Inspector Niranjan Singh Sirohi, a village resident of Rajabpur police station area, was posted in Link Road police station of Ghaziabad.

Last May, a report was lodged against him in Gajraula by the wife of a soldier resident of a village in the area. He is accused of coming to the soldier’s house in Gajraula police station area at 11:30 pm on 26th April. The mother of the soldier found here was fatally attacked. In which she was seriously injured.

Seeing the soldier’s uncle who had come after his wife raised an alarm, he ran away. He pretended to be an inspector and threatened to implicate him in a false case. Gajraula police station had filed a report against him under sections 506-threatening to kill, 323-abusing, 352-assault, 67 Information Technology (Amendment) Act (IT Act).

Since then the police was searching for him. On Thursday, the police received information that he had come to his home in village Himayun Nagar of Rajabpur police station area. On which Gajraula police raided for his arrest.

Villagers say that after seeing the police, he jumped from the roof to escape. Due to this his leg was broken. CO Arun Kumar Singh confirmed that the inspector has been arrested.
