Uttarakhand: Review meeting regarding pending cases of Home Department, ACS Radha Raturi gave these instructions

In the presence of the Chief Minister and Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, a review meeting was called by the Home Minister, Government of India on 07.10.2023 regarding the pending cases of various departments, in which the Honorable Chief Minister reviewed the pending cases related to the Home Department of the State. Strict instructions were given to complete the proceedings regarding the cases as soon as possible, in order to which today, on 10.10.2023, under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Uttarakhand Government, a discussion was held regarding the pending cases with the officials of the Home Department. A review meeting was called for this, in which the following instructions were given by the Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Uttarakhand Government:-
- In view of the special emphasis given by the Home Minister, Government of India, on the need to provide qualitative training to the police officers/personnel, the Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Government of Uttarakhand has given instructions to immediately obtain a clear proposal in this regard from the Police Headquarters, Dehradun. Are.
- Regarding the formation of SISF and Tourism Police, instructions have been given for necessary action after receiving a clear proposal from the Police Headquarters, Dehradun in a timely manner.
- Police Headquarters, Dehradun regarding implementation of “Model Jail Manual” and “Model Jail Act 2023” promulgated by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India with certain amendments as per the situation of the state of Uttarakhand and “Model Fire Bill” in the state. Instructions have been given to get it in a timely manner.
- In the light of the instructions given by the Honorable Home Minister, Government of India regarding strict ban on drug trafficking, the Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Government of Uttarakhand has given instructions for the time bound formation of Anti-Narcotics Task Force (A.N.T.F.) in the state. At the same time, instructions were given to hold district level monthly meetings of NCORD regularly and the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has sought the cooperation of NIA and NCB in sensitive cases related to drugs, which reflect inter-state and international collaboration. Instructions have been given to do so.
- Instructions have been given to strictly comply with the obligation of filling C-Forms from foreign citizens staying in hotels operated within the state. Instructions have also been given by the state government to provide proposals for necessary amendments in the rules of the Foreigners Registration Act. .
- Instructions have been given to prepare a clear proposal as per the instructions prescribed in the Vehicle Scrapping Policy and send it to the Government of India as soon as possible.
